Medical Transcription

The Medical Transcription program is a nine month course offered through Workforce Services at East Mississippi Community College.  The class has several modules that must be successfully completed such as Medical Terminology, Anatomy/Physiology, Human Disease, Medical Science, and Pharmacology as well as the transcription module.  After successful completion of the 200-hour course, the participant will receive a certificate of completion.  

Our next class will begin August 2011. Class will meet two nights a week (Monday and Wednesday nights) from 6:00 - 9:00 p.m.

Selection Criteria:
Please click here to learn more about the Medical Transcription class requirements, application process and to obtain an application.  All students are required to turn in an application and complete the WorkKeys entrance exam.  The WorkKeys scores required must be a minimum of Silver level (4 or higher).

Costs include the course fee of $600.(includes books)
